HERE ARE SOME TIPS THAT WE HAVE FOUND HELPED US OVER THE YEARS! ALSO, IF YOU HAVE SOME TIPS, I’LL POST THEM IF YOU WILL SEND THEM TO ME!

TIP:  When to we need to use the Octi-Dry ®Wall
Drying System?  We like a lot of restorers used Octi-Dry's® occasionally and when “WE” determined that their use was easy, convenient, and above all needed!  Then a Lawyer called me one day, you ever got that dreaded call from the lawyer!!??  This lawyer proceeded to do what lawyers do and that was to crush all the living air out of me  and any foreseeable profits in the future that I was going to make!  Fortunately, because I had good documentation I was able to redirect his assault to the guilty party. However that was the day I implemented our “Standard Operating Procedure” as to when we use our “Octi-Dry Wall Dryers.  If a wall has wicked water up 6inches or higher we remove trim, access walls and inject dry air with Octi-Dry’s into wet walls, paying attention to the hard to reach places such as corners, jams, under sill plates, under cabinets etc.  That was the day we in my house became Unlazy, and above all Confident that it is Dry!!  




Tip:Where can we

System working?  Other than your own back yard, so to speak.  The HydroLab in Noblesbille Indiana host's one of the Best training schools. If you haven’t been to the Kurt says “Drying Schools” and experienced the hands on training for our profession then you are missing out. Tip: How many Octi-Drys® do I need in my business? Well, we carry at least 10 units of the Wall Dryers in each Response Truck. The reason is, I don’t want another call from you know who, and we have found that since our SOP we use them on 2 out of three jobs. Many times I have to the leave the golf…office to take additional Octi-Drys to a job.

Tip:What Air Mover will the Octi-Dry® Wall Drying System fit: We make the Standard Unit to fit most any air-mover. But occasionally someone will come up with an unusually large fan opening an we will custom fit some units for this. There is no extra charge, we just need to know it ahead of time. We make a large opening unit called the “Tes” unit to fit the “Tes Drying system” as well.

Tip: How much do I charge for using the Octi-Dry® ‘s ® on jobs? I can’t tell you what to charge but if you use or refer to the exactimate these are price’s acceptable, see them under “walled” code at around 60.00 to 140.00each. per day. You have to do what is comfortable for you in this case. The one thing I would encourage you to consider is this: You invested a lot of money in all of your business to do one thing and that’s to Respond and Service on an Emergency Level and that’s what you should charge for. Normally you calculate the cost of the equipment and add the maintenance, and finally the “Emergency Response” Differential. Talk to a local Rental Dealer for the formula use to calculate the daily rental rate they use!
